I entered the mirror and what I was greeted with was a room in a dungeon. The mirror behind me was gone. How were we supposed to return? I could teleport but what about him? Well, I guess I could make a portal appear again and make Rina play the part of convincing him that’s how it was supposed to be all along. However, what was clear now, was that someone was trying to interfere with us again. Was it VHEPO again?
‘Rina, Arthur, can you hear me?’
‘Yes, my master.’
‘Yes, my lord.’
‘Someone is interfering with Angband town’s opening event. Rina, this could be a ruse to get us not to pay attention to what’s happening at Castle Academy, so pay extra attention with Lain on any anomalies. Arthur, I want you to accompany John II to Angband to see if you both can figure out what’s going on.’
‘As you wish, master.’
‘Yes, my lord.’
I looked around. Nanashi was there and stood in front of me but turned away from him. In front of both of us there was a small girl crying in the corner. She was imprisoned behind a set of metal bars. And what more she was clearly some kind of demon because there were horns on her head and she had black feathered wings.
Nanashi started talking to the sobbing Demon Girl.
“Why are you crying? Do you want to be set free?”
“My eyes? My eyes? Where is my father? Please help me!”
The girl slowly made her way towards Nanashi’s voice. She grasped around until her white hands reached the bars. Nanashi took her hand.
“Calm down. My name is Nanashi. I am an adventurer. Please tell us everything you know.”
“I don’t know who you are oni-san, but Lammu’s Cabal is trying to destroy this world! They have captured my father and imprisoned me here. ”
“Raynar, can you do something about her sight?”
“Helping her is not part of the requirements for this dungeon. I don’t see any quest notification about it. Besides, why do you think that I can help her?”
“I just thought you might be able to from past experience.”
I had a look at the girl with my “insight” cheat skill. Well, it was true that finding out what was going on was probably more important than completing the quest at this point.
“Her name is Azaz-yra. For some reason it is impossible to parse the sound in the middle of her name into writing. She is the daughter of Azaroth. In order to cure her ailment we would need to use the Black Lotus.”
“So our goal remains the same?”
“Presumably, Well, not quite. We will need an extra black lotus flower for the girl, unless we are planning on forgoing the main quest.”
