Ishikawa is mostly concerned with his own head-canon of the “classics,” anime which is good for all time. Making him somewhat immune from current trends but also more isolated as a result. Really a lot of anime that “used to be popular” and some that never caught on but left an impression on him for idionsyncretic reasons.
