I removed the antiquated wiki shortcodes and added Author Notes. If any authors want access to it it, then please let me know.
I have begun reposting the blog posts from my old blog. It’s going to take considerable effort to edit and repost all of them but I was able to do three of them this morning which was more than I expected. Anyway, the blog section of the site looked too empty and with this I should be able to correct that. I swear making a website is a bit like gardening.
I have excluded Response blogs from the list because I don’t want to get into long and repetitive arguments with strangers.
I don’t exactly believe in Orwell’s rules but then again they are what you should follow, at least sometimes, if you want to be clearly understood. I am just posting them for easy access.
George Orwell’s Six Rules for Writing
1.Never use a metaphor, simile, or other figure of speech which you are used to seeing in print.
2. Never use a long word where a short one will do.
3. If it is possible to cut a word out, always cut it out.
4. Never use the passive where you can use the active.
5. Never use a foreign phrase, a scientific word, or a jargon word if you can think of an everyday English equivalent.
6.Break any of these rules sooner than say anything outright barbarous.I have decided to use Scrivener to write my blog posts (since I bought it and haven’t used it in a year) and I will utilize this forum for the sake of brainstorming ideas.
I will keep you updated here about how this blogging experiment goes.
Added Food/Cooking Blog.
SECOND ITALIAN FILM LIST
Cemetery Man (dark comedy, R18)
Demons and Demons 2 (spatter horror with that 80s cheese)
Un Borghese Piccolo Piccolo (comedy-drama)
Carica Eroica (historical war movie)
Fantozzi aka White Collar Blues (dramatic comedy)
West and Soda (animation, dark western comedy)
Django (manneristic spaghetti western)
Puerto Escondido (dramatic)
My Name is Tanino (comedy)
Deep Red (‘giallo’ thriller/horror)Watching the latest season of Re;Zero kind of made me feel that the reason that I can’t enjoy it entirely is that it’s like reading notes from a very detailed TTRPG campaign. Clearly a lot of love and thought has gone into the story but it’s easy to get lost in the details. It’s like the author knows what the characters think and who they are and why they are important but I can’t say what the characters think much. I know it sounds vague.
Demon Lord 2099 is kind of getting boring. I mean I’ll watch the whole thing probably but now that the story has given away what’s actually going on I feel like it hasn’t left much to give except the demonlord MC steamrolling through enemies.
